Nací en El Cerro con la casa en la punta de la cabeza.
Desde que tengo uso de razón he creído en el arte y en los espíritus. Me hubiera gustado ser músico pero mi madre, además de darme la vida, tuvo la intuición de que sería Artista y a la fuerza me introdujo es estos avatares del Arte.
Mi obra se mueve por diferentes caminos conceptuales y formales. Me valgo del respeto y el amor a mi tierra para abordar temas como la vida, la religión, la política, la espiritualidad de los cubanos, las miserias humanas que nos rodean y nos hacen diferentes en este gran Universo. Aprovecho todas las situaciones y materiales que me ofrece la vida como motivación para crear con la mayor seriedad y compromiso una obra, un hijo, un quejido, un orgasmo, un peo, una muerte…
Nací para crear y enseñar, y a mis 50 años ni debo ni quiero cambiarlo.

I was born in El Cerro with the house on the tip of my head.
Since I can remember I have always believed in Art and spirits. I would have liked to be a musician but my mother, besides giving me life, had the intuition that I would be an Artist, and forcefully introduced me to these avatars of Art.
My work moves through different conceptual and formal paths. I use the respect and love I feel for my land to address themes such as life, religion, politics, the spirituality of Cubans, the human miseries that surround us and make us different in this great Universe. I take advantage of all the situations and materials that life offers me as the motivation to create with seriousness and commitment an artwork, a son, a moan, an orgasm, a fart, a death...
I was born to create and teach, and at my 50s I don't have to or want to change it.
